Aizawl/IBNS: A meeting held at SAD Conference Hall at MINECO attended by Mizoram Health & Family Welfare Minister Dr. R. Lalthangliana and Home Minister Pu Lalchamliana reviewed the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the state and also the efficacy of the current lockdown in Aizawl city given the recent rise in the number of positive cases.

The meeting opined that a further extension of the lockdown would help in containment of cases and would be in the best interest of public health and safety and suggested its extension.

A final decision on the matter will be taken after the Chief Minister approves the suggestion.
