New Delhi, July 15 (IBNS):  A 53-year-old millionaire has been arrested for allegedly stealing a replica of ancient ‘Olduvai Handaxe’ from the National Museum in Delhi.

The replica was stolen on June 24.

The millionaire, identified as Uday Ratra, was arrested from his Gurugram residence on Saturday, reports said.

The police have been able to recover the 'Olduvai Handaxe'.

The accused was identified from CCTV footage which showed a man leaving the premises with the stolen item.

Thereafter a scrutiny of the visitors’ register aided the police in identifying the alleged thief as Ratra.

Deputy commissioner of police (New Delhi) Madhur Verma tweeted the CCTV footage.
