Mumbai/IBNS: A stampede-like situation broke out at Mumbai airport on Tuesday after over 25,000 job aspirants turned up for 2,216 vacancies in Air India's aircraft loader post, media reports said.

In a visual which went viral on social media, a huge crowd is struggling to hold on to his place and move towards the form counter.

The staff of Air India struggled to manage the crowd which swelled leading to a stampede-like situation.

Each aircraft requires about five loaders who are tasked with loading and unloading luggage on aircraft.

The person is also tasked with looking after the baggage belts and ramp tractors.

The salary for each person is expected to be around Rs. 20,000-25,000 per month.

The incident occurred days after a similar video showed hundreds of job aspirants jostling with each other at an walk-in interview at Ankleshwar in Gujarat's Bharuch.

As the jobseekers pushed each other and the commotion created by it led the railing on the ramp- where they were standing- crashed on the ground.

No one was hurt as the railing was not very high from the ground.

About 1,800 aspirants had turned up for recruitment in only 10 posts at a private firm.
