Narendra Modi greets the nation on Valmiki Jayanti
New Delhi, Oct 27 (IBNS) Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi on Tuesday, greeted the people of India on Valmiki Jayanti.
Modi wrote on his Twitter account that the ideas of Maharshi Valmiki has always driven the society.
Valmiki is considered as the harbinger-poet in Sanskrit literature.
He lived in the first millennium BCE. He is the author of the epic Ramayaṇa, based on the attribution in the text of the epic itself.
