NCC Day celebrated in West Bengal

Kolkata, Nov 17 (IBNS): National Cadet Corps (NCC) Directorate (West Bengal & Sikkim) celebrated their 66th anniversary at Brigade Parade Ground, Kolkata on Sunday.

It was a colourful event celebrated with much pomp and show. More than ten thousand cadets along with their parents, students from various schools attended the function. Serving and retired military and civil dignitaries also graced the occasion.

The glittering parade was reviewed by Lt Gen Raman Dhawan, GOC Bengal Area and also the Chief Guest on the occasion. While addressing the cadets Gen Dhawan appreciated the performance of the cadets of NCC in all activities and conveyed his felicitations to all ranks of the NCC Directorate of West Bengal and Sikkim.

It was followed by a ceremonial march past participated by Army, Navy and Air Force cadets of NCC.

A cultural display of Chaou Dance, Stilt Dance and Taekwondo performed by the NCC cadets were also displayed before the spectators.

An impressive air model display by the cadets mesmerized the spectators.
