News report about Sharad Pawar-Amit Shah meeting false: NCP national spokesperson

Mumbai/UNI: NCP national spokesperson and Maharashtra Minorities Minister Nawab Malik on Sunday refuted a news report that the party president Sharad Pawar and senior leader Praful Patel met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Ahmedabad.

Talking to reporters here, he said the news about the Pawar-Shah meeting that appeared on micro-blogging site Twitter has created confusion over the past two days.

And that news story was picked up and telecast by Divyabhaskar news channel, he informed and pointed that it led to rumour mongering.

Malik blamed Shah for having tried to create confusion by fielding questions from journalists.

The news about the Pawar-Shah meeting is false, he added and clarified that there was no purpose or reason for the meeting between the two leaders.
