Agra (UP)/UNI: In the wake of the rising cases of new variants of coronavirus, the Covid-19 test has been made mandatory for all tourists, including foreign ones, an official spokesman said here on Thursday.

District Information Officer Anil Satsangi said testing has been made mandatory for all tourists.

He said earlier testing was mandatory for foreign tourists, but in the wake of rising cases of Covid-19, every person entering Taj will be required to bring a certificate of being tested.

He said the health department will maintain a vigil on tourists coming and people returning from China, Japan, Brazil and the US. He said those having flu-like symptoms will be tested.

Satsangi said hotel operators have also been warned. He said people suffering from cold, cough and fever are being advised to wear masks.
