Only 6 states now have over 1 lakh cases

New Delhi/IBNS: The coronavirus cases across the country are on the decline, Centre has pointed out, citing official figures pertaining to active cases.

“Only six states with more than one lakh active Covid-19 cases (As on 30th May, 2021 till 8AM),” India Fights Corona, the official I&B ministry handle on Covid-19 updates, tweeted. The six states are Karnataka (350,087 active cases), Tamil Nadu (310,157), Maharashtra (279,347), Kerala (233,425), Andhra Pradesh (173,622) and West Bengal (102,398).”

According to the Union ministry of health and family welfare’s (MoHFW) dashboard, the Covid-19 tally of India rose to 28,047,534 after addition of 152,734 over the last 24 hours. The death toll has increased to 329,100.

As of Monday, the country had 2026092 active cases, which is a decline of 88416. The active cases account for 7.22 per cent of India's total cases.
