Srinagar, Jan 25 (IBNS): Miscreants damaged a cinema theatre in Jammu city, J&K, ahead of the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's controversial movie ‘Padmaavat’ starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.

According to reports, on Wednesday afternoon, a crowd attacked ‘Move Times’ Theatre located in the heart of the Jammu city where the movie 'Padmaavat' was supposed to be released.

Police said that the miscreants damaged window panes of the ticket counter and lobbed petrol bombs which resulted in the cinema building catching fire.

The fire was later doused by fire tenders.

While the police rushed to the spot, the attackers fled, reports said.
