Pakistan's Sartaj Aziz arrives in Amritsar ahead of schedule

| | Dec 04, 2016, at 04:18 pm
Amritsar, Dec 4 (IBNS): Amid speculations over his curtailed visit, Sartaj Aziz, the de facto foreign minister of Pakistan, landed in Amritsar on Saturday evening, at least 15 hours ahead of his scheduled arrival on Sunday for the Heart of Asia (HOA) conference.

According to reports, Aziz was a part of a group of foreign ministers of the Heart of Asia member-countries who called on Modi after the dinner.

Earlier Pakistan had confirmed that Aziz will arrive in Amritsar only on December 4.

He was also scheduled to depart for Pakistan the same evening, reports said.

With the recent developments, speculations are rife whether talks between India and Pakistan will happen during the sidelines of the Heart of Asia Conference.
