Parliament: GST bill to dominate Monsoon session discussion

New Delhi, July 18 (IBNS): As the Parliament gets ready for the start of the monsoon session, which is commencing on Monday, Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill is set to dominate discussion on the opening day, reports said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged members to take the matter seriously.

"GST is of national importance. The issue is not which government gets credit," the PM was quoted as saying in the media.

Issues like the Kashmir violence is also likely to be raised. The Prime Minister has already thanked other parties, most of whom have gave out pro-government statements.

"Various parties have given statements on Kashmir events which benefited the country. This has sent a right message and I thank all the parties for the same," The PM said.

 
Other likely key issues to heat up sessions are NSG and Arunachal Pradesh verdict.
 
The BJP government took a hit for both as India failed to secure the NSG membership and later Arunachal Pradesh verdict went in favour of the Congress.
