Parliament: Opposition to raise Adani, BBC documentary issues in Budget Session beginning today

New Delhi/IBNS: The opposition parties have demanded discussions on two burning issues- a report which has accused leading industrialist Gautam Adani of "brazen stock manipulation and accounting fraud scheme" and the ban on BBC documentary on Prime Minister Narendra Modi- in the winter session of Parliament beginning on Tuesday.

The demands have been made by the Opposition in an all-party meeting with the government held on Monday.

The government, led by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, has assured all discussions will take place as per rules.

Singh has requested the Opposition to cooperate to run the house proceedings smoothly.

The Congress did not attend the all-party meeting as its leaders were busy in its top leader Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a surprise, the Trinamool Congress (TMC), which is the second largest opposition camp in Parliament, did not demand discussion on the Adani issue.

President Droupadi Murmu will address the joint session of the two houses (Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha) of Parliament on Tuesday.
