Petrol bomb hurled outside T.T.V. Dhinakaran's residence in Chennai

Chennai, July 29 (IBNS): A petrol bomb was hurled outside the residence of  Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran at Adyar area in Chennai on Sunday, reports said.

Dhinakaran escaped the incident unhurt.

"A disgruntled party member of the Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam hurled a petrol bomb on his own car outside the party General Secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran's house at Adyar," reported The Hindu.

Police told the newspaper a disgruntled town secretary who was removed from his post by Dhinakaran arrived at his residence and hurled a petrol bomb on the car.

He was reportedly carrying a sharp weapon in his suitcase.

Police have started investigating the matter.

As per some media reports, Dhinakaran's driver was injured in the attack.
