Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other prominent dignitaries attended the wedding reception of NCP leader Supriya Sule's daughter Revati Sule in Delhi on Monday night, bringing together leaders from across India's political spectrum.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, NCP chief Sharad Pawar and his wife, and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav were among those present at the high-profile gathering at 6 Janpath.

The event offered a rare sight of political rivals sharing the same stage and exchanging pleasantries away from the intense political battles of Parliament.

Amit Shah was seen waiting to take his turn to greet the newlyweds, while Rahul Gandhi stood a few feet away.

Sule then gestured to the Home Minister to proceed towards the stage. Shah, with his hands folded in a namaste, greeted the couple, who touched his feet. He presented them with a bouquet and posed for photographs.

Soon after, Rahul Gandhi arrived on stage with Sonia and Priyanka Gandhi.

Grand reception for Revati Sule

The reception celebrated the marriage of Revati Sule and Nagpur-based industrialist Sarang Lakhani. The couple got married in Mumbai in June, with the Delhi gathering serving as a grand reception.

The star-studded event brought together leaders from rival political factions, offering a glimpse of political opponents putting aside their differences to celebrate a family occasion.
