New Delhi/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started interacting with students at the third edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha at Talkatora Stadium here.

Modi is answering the questions of several selected students from across the country about how they can beat examination stress.

Interacting with the students, Modi said, "Majority of our depressions occur due to external factors."

"This new year and decade are equally important for you and the entire country. Whatever happens in this new decade will be directly related to the students that are currently studying in Class X and XII," Modi told students.

Holding Pariksha Pe Charcha as closest to his heart, the Prime Minister said, "..Thousands of schools from the entire country participate in this and I feel how the youth of the country think and what they want to do."

Referring to the memorable partnership of VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid in 2001 India-Australia Test match in Kolkata and Anil Kumble's bowling even with an injury, Modi told students good results can be achieved with "the power of motivation and positive thinking".

Stressing on co-curricular activities, he said, "Not pursuing an co-curricular activities can make a person like a robot. Yes, this would require better time management. Today opportunities are many and I hope youngsters make use of them."

"What is not good is when the passion of the children becomes fashion statements for parents. Extra-curricular activities needn’t be glamour driven. Let each child pursue what he or she likes," he added with a message to all parents.
