PM Modi-led govt should review its working style: Mayawati

| @indiablooms | May 30, 2020, at 05:11 pm

Lucknow/UNI: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati has said that the first year of the Modi government at the Centre was filled with controversies and for this reason, it needs to review its policies and working style with an open mind.

In a tweet on Saturday, Ms Mayawati said, "Numerous claims were made as the BJP government completes one year at the Centre but it will be better if they are not away from ground reality and people's thinking or understanding. Their first year was surrounded by controversies on many issues which should be introspected upon in the country and common public interest."

She said, "The lives of most poor persons, unemployed individuals, farmers, migrant workers and women out of the 130 crore population of the country has been more painful than before which is extremely sad and cannot be forgotten so easily."

The BSP honcho said, "The Union government should review its policies and working style with an open mind in such a situation and rather than drawing a curtain on the limitations, work should be done to correct them. This is the BSP's advise to them in the country and public interest."
