Ayodhya/UNI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Ayodhya on Saturday where he is scheduled to launch 46 projects worth Rs 15,700 crore, including inauguration of newly constructed Maharishi Valmiki International Airport and redeveloped Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station which will usher a new era of development in the city of Lord Ram.

The PM reached Ayodhya's newly constructed Maharishi Valmiki International Airport as per schedule at 10.50 where he was welcomed by Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. After this the PM left to accept the greetings of the people through a road show.

Undeterred by the severe cold, the people of Ayodhya lined up on both sides of the road and welcomed the PM warmly with a petal shower and chants of Jai Shri Ram. The route of the Prime Minister's road show has been decorated attractively.

During his around four hour long visit Modi will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate projects worth Rs 15,700 crore. He will also launch projects for different cities of the country.

He will flag off six Vande Bharat and two Amrit Bharat trains. These trains include Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express, Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express, Coimbatore-Bangalore Vande Bharat Express, Mangalore-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express, Jalna-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express and Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Vande Bharat Express.
