New Delhi/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Wednesday visited his mother Heeraben Modi who is in a hospital in Ahmedabad since last night after her health deteriorated.

PM Modi flew in from Delhi around 4 pm and left the hospital just before 5.30, spending over an hour with his mother.

A statement from the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre said the condition of Heeraben Modi, who is 99 years, is stable, said reports.

The hospital has not shared any other information.

PM Narendra Modi, who is known to be very close to his mother, recently met her mother when he went to Gujarat ahead of the Assembly polls.

Visuals of the Prime Minister chatting and having tea with Heeraben Modi then emerged on social media.

Prior to that, the PM also met her on her 99th birthday in June this year.
