PM Modi vows to bring development in J&K

| | Nov 28, 2014, at 07:46 pm
Udhampur, Nov 28 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that development of the Jammu and Kashmir region stuck in the same place for past 30 years
“The work which has not been done in past 30 years, I wish to do it in a span next 5 years. If I can’t U came and demand explanation from me,” Modi said urging people to form a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the Valley with full electoral majority.

The PM addressed a mammoth election rally at Udhampur amid ‘Modi Modi’ chant.

“I just need a chance to carry out development drive in the region. And for that I need your blessings to fulfill your dreams… The youth of our country needs employment. They want jobs. There is no other way but to bring development to the state,” he said.

Dubbing himself as “fortunate enough” as he could come to Jammu and Kashmir almost every month since he assumed office of the PM, Modi said:  “No PM would ever have come to the region every month. I shall again come here in December. But whenever I came, I came with a proper development blueprint for the people here.”

He said now the entire world, be it the US, Australia, Japan and Nepal, is praising India because of its billon plus population.

“When there was flood in the region, I wasted no time to come here and wipe your tears. I involved the entire Central administration in Delhi for the service to the people in J&K,” he added.

PM Modi said that loot and emotional blackmailing have become two key characteristics of the politicians in the Valley. They are playing with the sentiments of the local people.

“I will ensure that the funds released from Delhi reach out to the people in J&K…once former Congress PM Rajiv Gandhi had said that only 15 percent of the Central funds reach the needy in the rural outskirts of India. Then who robbed this 85 percent of fund? Who has looted the money of the people?” he said.

Modi promised that he would not allow politicians of J&K to loot and emotionally blackmail people of the region.
