| @indiablooms | Apr 06, 2022, at 10:39 pm

New Delhi: The Centre on Wednesday said the Prime Minister's Office of India (PMO India) YouTube channel is not monetized.

This information was given by Union Minister of State for Electronics and Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar in the Lok Sabha in response to Congress MP Karti P Chidambaram's question whether the government knows that the videos uploaded on the YouTube channel 'PMO India' are monetized.

"PMO India has disabled all monetization related activities," the Minister said.

In a written reply to another question whether advertisements are permitted to run or be screened on the channel videos, he said: "No advertisements are displayed on videos on PMO India YouTube channel."

The PMO India channel has over 1.72 million subscribers on YouTube.
