Kolkata, Apr 26 (IBNS): Expelled Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Arabul Islam has been arrested by the police on Sunday afternoon from New Town area in Kolkata.

The move was made after the authority of one under-construction IT-City in Rajarhat lodged a complaint to the Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate on last week.

They alleged that the expelled TMC leader Arabul Islam and his followers were demanding money and giving threats to them.

Police have taken him to the Bidhannagar North Police Station and he will be produced in court on Monday.

Arabul Islam was expelled from the ruling TMC on Oct 28, 2014 for six years.
