Power guest list! Sachin Tendulkar invites President, PM, Shah and Rahul Gandhi to son Arjun’s wedding

New Delhi/IBNS: Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has invited President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi to his son Arjun Tendulkar’s wedding.

Arjun, 26, is set to marry entrepreneur Saaniya Chandok, granddaughter of Mumbai businessman Ravi Ghai. The couple got engaged last year at a private ceremony attended by close family and friends.

Sharing pictures from Rashtrapati Bhavan, Tendulkar said he and his family cherished their meeting with President Murmu while extending the wedding invitation.

Tendulkar wrote, "Last February, Hon’ble President Smt. Droupadi Murmu ji graciously hosted us at Rashtrapati Bhavan. We relived some of those cherished memories when we met the President today to invite her to Arjun and Saaniya’s wedding. Thank you for your warm wishes, Hon’ble President."

Posting images from his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tendulkar wrote on X, "We were honoured to invite Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji to Arjun and Saaniya’s wedding. Thank you, Modi ji, for your blessings and thoughtful advice for the young couple."

Sharing photographs with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, he wrote, "We cordially invited Hon’ble Home Minister Shri @AmitShah ji to Arjun and Saaniya’s wedding. Thank you for the warmth extended to our family, we deeply appreciate your kind wishes."

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi was also seen posing with the Tendulkar family at his residence. Tendulkar wrote, "Our family had the opportunity to meet Shri @RahulGandhi ji and invite him to Arjun-Saaniya’s wedding. Thank you for the warmth and hospitality you extended to us."

Ravi Ghai heads the Graviss Group, a conglomerate with interests in food and hospitality. He is associated with brands such as The Brooklyn Creamery and the InterContinental Hotel at Marine Drive in Mumbai.

Arjun, a left-arm fast bowler, began his domestic career with Mumbai before moving to Goa. In first-class cricket, he has picked up 37 wickets and scored 532 runs in 17 matches. He made his IPL debut in 2023 for Mumbai Indians after being bought for Rs. 20 lakh in 2021 and re-acquired for Rs. 30 lakh in 2023.

Saaniya Chandok is the founder of pet care brand Mr. Paws and is known for her work in animal welfare advocacy.
