New Delhi, Dec 11 (IBNS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Republic of Kenya on the eve of their Independence Day.

In his message to Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kenya, the President has said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me immense pleasure to extend to you and to the people of the Republic of Kenya my warm felicitations and best wishes on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of your Independence Day."

"The warm and friendly relations between India and Kenya have evolved through the centuries into a multi-sectoral partnership, encompassing cooperation at bilateral, regional and international levels," Mukherjee said.

"I am confident that our cooperation will be further strengthened in the coming years to the mutual benefit of our two peoples," he said.

"Please accept, Excellency, my best wishes for your good health and personal well-being as well as for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of the Republic of Kenya," Mukherjee said.
