President hosts Iftar reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan today

New Delhi, July 1 (IBNS) President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday hosted an Iftar Reception at the Rashtrapati Bhavan here.

The President conveyed Ramzan greetings to all.

He urged everyone to spread love, affection and mutual trust during this holy month.

He expressed the hope that the spirit of Ramzan will instill in every Indian a sense of unity and pride in the composite culture of India.

Dignitaries who attended the Iftar included Mohd. Hamid Ansari, the Vice-President of India; Arun Jaitley, Union Minister of Finance, Corporate Affairs and Information and Broadcasting; Ghulam Nabi Azad, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha; Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi; Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Minister of State for Minority Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs; Sonia Gandhi, Chairperson of UPA;  Sitaram Yechuri; Sheila Dixit; Heads of Diplomatic Missions; senior officials; scholars; religious leaders and public figures from various walks of life.
