Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Kejriwal welcome Centre's decision on CBSE examinations
New Delhi: Key opposition parties of the country, including the Congress, have welcomed Centre's decision to cancel CBSE class 10 and postpone class 12 examinations.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra asked the government to take a decision on class 12 students soon.
"Glad the government has finally cancelled the 10th standard exams however a final decision MUST be taken for the 12th grade too. Keeping students under undue pressure until June makes no sense. It’s unfair. I urge the government to decide now.#cancelboardexam2021," Priyanka Gandhi Vadra tweeted.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said he felt relieved following the decision taken by the Centre.
"I am glad that the exams have been cancelled/postponed. This is a great relief for lakhs of students and their parents," Kejriwal tweeted.

Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said: "It's a big relief to 30 lakh students, their parents and teachers. Cancellation/postponement of CBSE exam for 10&12 was being demanded by all of us since many days."
The examinations for both the classes were scheduled to begin on May 4, two days after the election results of five states were to be declared.
For class 12 examinations, the situation will be reviewed on Jun 1 and revised dates will be announced thereafter.
The announcement has been made after India's education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank held a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CBSE officials.
