Kolkata, Nov 7 (IBNS) Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Kalraj Mishra has urged West Bengal Government to put aside political differences and work together for economic development of the State as well as the entire country.

He was present at the 114th annual session of MCC Chamber of Commerce & Industry, here where he spoke in details about Mudra Bank- the institution of refinancing for the micro units having loan requirement from Rs 50 thousands to 10 lakhs and support of Micro Finance Institutions (MFI) for on landing, Udyog Adhar for MSMEs, a scheme for registration of enterprises with District Industries Centre(DIC) and Scheme for Promotion of Innovation, entrepreneurship and Agro Industry (ASPIRE)- the scheme to open the vistas of incubation landscape to the micro segment of the vast rural economy and the like.

Mishra was of opinion that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ call also sought to identify and create a favourable environment for encouraging the start- ups and drive the manufacturing domain with sustained employment opportunity creation and to raise the level of skilling for successful and sustainable enterprise creation.

According to the minister, there were numerous technologies developed by several research instates of India, which were yet to be harnessed and which could be a boost to rural economy.

He felt the need for establishing a network, building a database in order that they were accessible to the entrepreneurs to select and convert them into commercial ventures.

He even mentioned the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme and the opportunity of online registration in this programme for creation of employment opportunities both in rural and urban India.
