Rahul Gandhi offers prayers at Kedarnath shrine

Dehradun, Apr 24 (IBNS): Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Friday offered prayers at the Kedarnath shrine in Uttarakhand.

After his trek to the  Kedarnath shrine, he told reporters: "I got immense spiritual strength."

"Rahul Gandhi has arrived at the Kedarnath Dham shrine, the Kapaat of the temple has now been declared open. #RGInKedarnath," the Congress tweeted.

Kedarnath Temple is one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to the god Shiva.

It is on the GarhwalHimalayan range near the Mandakini river in Kedarnath in Uttarakhand.

Kedarnath was the worst affected area during the 2013 flash floods in North India.
