RJD slams Nitish Kumar for excluding Lalu on dais with PM Modi

Patna, Jan 6 (TheBiharPost): The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has strongly objected to the “humiliation” of party president Lalu Prasad during the "Prakash Parv" event on Thursday in which PM Modi and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar were seen in dais with the RJD chief. The RJD has slammed chief minister for this gaffe.

During the concluding day function attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the RJD chief was seen sitting on the ground along with the audience, sparking protests from the RJD. Prasad’s minister sons were along with him on the ground.

Significantly, RJD with 80 seats in Bihar assembly is the biggest coalition of the Grand Alliance government in Bihar headed by chief minister Nitish Kumar.

“The people didn't like this. They were amazed to see that how Laluji was seated in the audience. The chief minister should have ensured his seating arrangement at the dais alongside the Prime Minister,” RJD vice-president Raghubvansh Prasad Singh told the media today, reacting to the incident.

Singh said it is the “mahagathbandhan” (Grand Alliance) government ruling the state now.

“Hence every leader of the alliance should have been there on the stage but it seems only the JD-U government is ruling the state,” he said.

What has further annoyed the RJD leadership is the way Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Nitish Kumar heaped praises on each other.
