Rs 81 cr disbursed among beneficiaries under PM Kisan in Kulgam, Kashmir

Kulgam/IBNS: Anantnag Lok Sabha MP Justice (Retd) Hasnain Masoodi Monday chaired the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting at Dak Banglow Kulgam, Chawalgam.

The meeting was held to review the progress of various centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSSs) in the district. 

At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kulgam Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat gave a detailed profile of the district, and its achievements recorded under various centrally sponsored schemes.

The chair was informed that under PM-KISAN an amount of Rs. 81.20 crore was disbursed among beneficiaries and under Kisan Credit Card  (KCC) a total of 70,535 cases were sponsored, while 67,764 cases were disbursed with the disbursement of Rs.774.49 crore among the eligible beneficiaries.

The chair was also apprised that 43 thousand active job card workers are present in the district.

The MP was also informed that there is an estimated income of more than Rs. 1,995.34 crore accrued from different agriculture/horticulture activities which is the primary source of revenue.
