S Jaishankar meets Alternate Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Israel Yair Lapid

Jerusalem/New Delhi:  India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Monday held bilateral talks with Alternate Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Israel Yair Lapid.

Naor Gilon, the Israeli Ambassador to India, tweeted, saying that many practical agenda items would be coming out of the meeting between the two ministers.

“Many practical agenda items coming out of the meeting between ministers @yairlapid and @DrSJaishankar Israel-India," he tweeted.

Jaishankar arrived on Sunday on a five-day official visit to Israel at the invitation of Yair Lapid.

He is also to call on President Isaac Herzog, and Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.

This is his first visit to Israel as External Affairs Minister.
