Sarod maestro Pandit Buddhadev Dasgupta passes away

Kolkata, Jan 15 (IBNS):  Sarod maestro Pandit Buddhadev Dasgupta has passed away on Monday.

He passed away in Kolkata.

He was 84.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee condoled his death.

"Padma Vibhushan Pandit Buddhadeb Dasgupta is no more. A great loss for the world of classical music. Rest in Peace. Condolences to his family," West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted.

Dasgupta was born in Bihar n 1933.

He was one of the artists featured in Nimbus Records' The Raga Guide.
