Saudi Arabia King's death: India declares Jan 24 as national day of mourning
"His majesty king Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, custodian of the two holy mosques, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has passed away. As a mark of respect to the departed dignitary, the Government of India has decided that there will be one day’s national mourning on 24.01.2015," the Indian government said in a statement.
"The national flag will be flown at half mast on 24.01.2015 throughout India and there will be no official entertainment on the day," it said.
Abdullah has died on Friday, reports said.
He was 90.
His brother Prince Salman has been named the new Saudi king, reports said.
