Scoot apologises after 32 passengers miss Amritsar-Singapore flight

Amritsar: A day after 32 passengers missed budget carrier Scoot’s Amritsar-Singapore rescheduled flight, the company today apologised for the inconvenience caused, media reported.

The flight was scheduled to depart from Sri Guru Ramdas Ji International Airport in Amritsar at 7:55 pm on Wednesday.

Inclement weather forced the carrier to reschedule the flight at 3:45 pm on January 18 instead of the original departure time, a Scoot spokesperson said.

"Scoot sincerely apologises for the inconvenience caused. We are currently working to provide affected customers with the necessary assistance," said the low-cost airliner.

Despite the change in the time of departure as many as 263 passengers reported at the airport well on time and boarded the flight.

Amritsar airport officials said all booking agents were informed and they relayed the information to their clients. Only one agent did not inform his clients and the officials aren’t aware of why he failed to intimate them.

The Scoot spokesperson all affected passengers were notified in advance of the departure time change, through email and/or SMS, based on the contact details provided.
