Mumbai: A segment of a flyover on the Mumbai-Goa four-lane highway collapsed in Maharashtra’s Chiplun city on Monday morning around 7 a.m.

CCTV footage captured the incident, showing a visible crack in the flyover which led to its collapse.

In the collapse, a crane machine in use at the site was also damaged.

Police promptly reached the scene to avert any potential casualties or harm to vehicles, India Today reported.

Initial reports indicate that a section of the flyover had collapsed in the past, too, but no injuries were reported.
