Sheikh Abdul Rashid attacked in J&K

Jammu, Nov 25 (IBNS) Independent MLA from Langate constituency Sheikh Abdul Rashid (Er.Rashid) was attacked by right-wing miscreants in Bhaderwah town of Jammu region on Wednesday.

According to reports, dozen of activists belonging to the BJP and the RSS allegedly stopped Rashid at Domail area and attacked his Scorpio with stones and  injured Rashid.

His colleague Inam-un-Nabi received wounds in the attack.

An eyewitness told IBNS, “The miscreants attacked Rashid’s vehicle with stones and broke its windshield. Rashid who was seated inside the vehicle broke down while a police party headed by ASP Amit Bhaseem acted as mute spectators.”

The miscreants, allegedly workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party, also threw black colour on Rashid’s car.

Following the attack, Rashid staged a dharna at Amira Nagar area and even denied security from police and other officials.
