Smoke reported from Delhi Metro coach at Pragati Maidan, passengers deboarded

New Delhi, Mar 13 (UNI): Minor smoke was reported on Wednesday from a Delhi Metro coach at Pragati Maidan station (Noida bound) and as a precaution, passengers were deboarded at Akshardham Metro station.

"An incident of minor smoke was reported from last coach of a train today at 1435 hrs at Pragati Maidan station (Noida bound)," a DMRC spokesperson said.

No cause was observed by the maintenance staff but as a precaution,passengers were deboarded at Akshardham Metro station.

The train was thereafter withdrawn from the service and sent for investigation at Yamuna Bank

Depot at 1459 hrs, the spokesperson added.
