Sonia Gandhi stable after stomach infection, remains under observation: Hospital

Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi, who was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi on Sunday, is recovering from a stomach infection, the hospital chairman told the media on Tuesday.

Gandhi's discharge date has not been decided yet, and she continued to remain under observation.

"Smt. Sonia Gandhi is stable and responding well to treatment. She is recovering from a stomach infection. Her diet is being closely monitored, and she remains under observation," ANI reported, quoting Chairman of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Dr. Ajay Swaroop.

"As a precautionary measure, her discharge date has not yet been decided," he said.

She is being closely monitored by Dr. S Nundy and Dr. Amitabh Yadav , the hospital's chairman said.

Gandhi was admitted to the hospital on Sunday due to a stomach-related problem.
