On the other hand, the cabinet had approved to take Rs 1240 crore as loan from NABARD under Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF).

The minister said that, the cabinet decided to allocate Rs 500 crore for development in 25,425 villages in the state in 2016-17 financial year.

In next five years, a total of Rs 30,000 crore will be spent for infrastructural development in 25,425 villages in the state.

“The cabinet also decided to distribute 61,100 nos shallow tube well among the farmers,” the minister said.
