Sushma Swaraj condoles loss of lives in Nepal plane crash, speaks to her Bangladeshi counterpart
Dhaka/New Delhi/Kathmandu, Mar 13 (IBNS): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has spoken to her Bangladeshi counterpart AH Mahmood Ali over the death of 49 people in the Bangladeshi flight crash incident in Nepal's Kathmandu city on Monday.
Swaraj expressed her sympathy over the incident.
"EAM @SushmaSwaraj spoke to #BangladeshForeignMinister & expressed deepest condolences & sympathies for the loss of lives in the crash of #USBangla Airlines in #Kathmandu today. EAM offered any assistance required in Kathmandu, and shared thoughts and prayers for those injured," MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is currently in Singapore, condoled the loss of lives in the incident.
In a video message, Hasina extended to provide support and assistance to Nepal in treating the survivors of the crash.
Hasina said she will cut short her Singapore trip and return to Bangladesh on Tuesday.
Hasina also spoke to her Nepalese counterpart Khadga Prasad Oli over telephone from Singapore and both the leaders condoled loss of lives in the tragedy.
“I am very much shocked at the incident,” Hasina said in the video message.
“We will do whatever is necessary. I’ve also told this to the honourable prime minister of Nepal. We are and always will be by the side of Nepal in the rescue operation or treatment of the injured,” Hasina said.
