Sushma Swaraj speaks to Kulbhushan Jadhav's mother

New Delhi, Dec 8 (IBNS): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Friday announced that she has spoken to  Kulbhushan Jadhav, the Indian national who was sentenced to death on espionage charges,'s mother and informed Pakistan's decision to allow her and wife to visit the country.

In a series of tweets, Sushma Swaraj informed the matter to the nation.

Swaraj tweeted:"Government of Pakistan has conveyed that they will give visa to the mother and wife of Kulbhushan Jadhav. /1"

"I have spoken to Mrs. Avantika Jadhav mother of Kulbhushan Jadhav and informed her about this. /2," she said.

Swaraj said :"Earlier Pakistan had agreed to give visa only to the wife of Kulbhushan Jadhav. On this we asked Pakistan to give visa to the mother as well. We also raised concern about their safety and security in Pakistan. /3."

The External Affairs Minister further said, "We had also asked that a diplomatic officer of Indian High Commission should accompany them while they are in Pakistan. / 4."
