Ranchi/IBNS: Now-suspended Jharkhand Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Seema Patra was Wednesday arrested for allegedly abusing house help, media reports said.

Patra, who was the BJP's national executive member in Jharkhand, was suspended by the party Tuesday.

A First Information Report (FIR) was filed after a video where Patra's house help Sunita narrated her experience.

The complaint was reportedly filed by a government employee, named Vivek Anand Baskey, who received a message from Patra's son Ayushman, who described the physical abuse Sunita had to experience in his house.
