Suspicious object creates panic at Jammu Airport, flight operations normal

Jammu, Mar 8 (UNI) Panic created at the airport and among passengers when a suspicious object was found inside the luggage of one of the air passengers during scanning on Friday morning at the Jammu Airport.

However, Bomb Disposal Squad was immediately pressed into service.

“Some electronic gadget was found from the luggage of a passengers and it was immediately taken into possession,” official sources here said.
They said that the Bomb Squad after examining the material clarified that the substance was not an explosive.

“Nothing to worry as it was only a normal object, which was clarified by the Bomb Squad,” D K Gautam, Director, Airport Station, Jammu, here told UNI.

Gautam said that all flights operations are on time and there is no suspension or cancellation of any flight.
