Chennai, Nov 12 (IBNS): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa is in good health and can leave hospital any time she wants to said Apollo Hospitals chairman Dr Prathap C Reddy, media reported on Saturday.

The CM was admitted to hospital on Sept 22 following complaints of fever and dehydration.

On Nov 4, the Chennai-based hospital had said that CM Jayalalithaa, who was undergoing treatment for more than a month, has 'completely recovered'.

"Jayalalithaa's lung infection is fully under control. She can go whenever she feels fit. Her discharge depends upon her. There is no fixed date. She has to reinvigorate herself to go back. What's required is recuperation. The team working towards that," Dr Prathap Reddy was quoted as saying by NDTV.

In October, Tamil Nadu Governor Vidyasagar Rao authorised the state Finance Minister O Panneerselvam to chair cabinet meetings and take charge of the eight ministries that Jayalalithaa was handling.
