Tejashwi Yadav mocks Nitish Kumar over graft, morality; says he can’t live without power

Patna, Jan 8 (The Bihar Post/IBNS): RJD lawmaker and leader of Opposition in Bihar assembly Tejashwi Yadav on Monday tore into Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar for his remarks over “corruption” and “morality” in politics.

Tejashwi, who is younger son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad, wondered over the way as many as 36 scandals surfaced during the current tenure of the NDA government in the state yet the chief minister had been preaching over corruption.

He also questioned Kumar’s morality to join hands with his father even after his conviction in fodder scam.

“Nitish Kumar talks about ordinance (which was once torn away by Congress chief Rahul Gandhi) but he must also remember that his father had been convicted in fodder scam in 2013 itself while the chief minister joined hands with his father in 2015 assembly elections. Why did he join hands with Laluji then when he was so much careful about not allying with people with tainted image?” Tejashwi asked Kumar, while talking to the media on Monday.

Charging the chief minister with adopting “double standard”, Tejashwi asked the chief minister to explain as to for what reasons he had broke alliance with the BJP in 2013 and if those issues were sorted out when he decided to returned to the NDA in July last year.

“What happened to your announcement of making RSS-free India and your commitment that ‘mitti mein mil jaunga lekin BJP mein nahin jaunga?” he asked from the chief minister.

He also took potshots at the chief minister over the way the Prime Minister questioned his “DNA” in public yet the latter joined his company later.

He described the chief minister as a “confused” person who, he alleged, can’t stay without power. “He can go to any extent for power,” alleged Tejashwi.
