Siddipet: In a heart-wrenching incident on Wednesday, two minor lovers allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves from the ceiling at Lachapeta, Dubbaka Mandal, in this district.

According to the police, the couple consisted of a boy studying in the second year of an intermediate course and a girl studying in the first year at a private college.

The two had been in a relationship for some time. They took the extreme step of ending their lives by hanging themselves on the same rope at the boy's house on Wednesday.

A suicide note was reportedly found at the scene.

Upon receiving information, the police reached the spot, registered a case, and sent the bodies to the Government hospital in Dubbaka for post-mortem.

Further investigation is currently underway, added the police.
