Three drug peddlers from Kerala arrested, 23 Kg Ganja worth Rs 4.66 lakh seized

Bengaluru, May 15 (UNI) Police have nabbed three drug peddlers, natives of Kerala State and 23.3 kg Ganja worth about Rs 4.66 lakh was seized from them during a raid conducted by CCB Special wing sleuths in the city.

Police said that the arrested were identified as Shymadas, resident of Kavalam Taluk, Kuttenadu, Alappuzha District, Kerala, Arish Kumar resident of Channmarkeri, Alappuzha District, Kerala and John John, a final year BTech student of Aditya College of Engineerng, Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. He was native of Puthural Puther Veedu, Kallayar, Trivendram District, Kerala.

The culprits were purchasing the banned substance from Kerala and Vishakapatnam and after packing in small sachets they were selling it in the city to students and techies.

The arrested have confessed to their crimes and Police are on the look out for two more culprits who absconded during the raid.

Sudagantapalya Police have registered a case and investigating.
