Deputy Inspector General of Police, South Bastar region, Kamlochan Kashyap, said that an encounter broke out between joint forces in the forests of Pujari Kanker and Karriguta under the Usoor police station area of Bijapur district today.

In the encounter, a joint team of soldiers killed three Naxals and recovered LMG and AK-47 rifles from the spot.

In Narayanpur district, police busted a Maoist camp in Masfoor Tambola forest and recovered a huge cache of explosives along with communication and other Maoist material.
