TMC storm blows over Bengal, BJP, AIADMK leading in Assam, TN
Kolkata/Chennai, May 19 (IBNS) The Trinamool Congress is all set to return for a second term in West Bengal while the BJP will form the next government in Assam by removing the Congress as counting for the Assembly seats in four states-West Bengal, Tamil Nadu ,Kerala, Assam- and the Union Territory of Puducherry, continues on Thursday.
J Jayalalithaa and her AIADMK is gearing up to come to power in Tamil Nadu by beating DMK for a second term.
As per trends at 1 pm, in Assam, the BJP is leading in 82 seats, out of 126 Assembly seats, while the Congress is ahead in 27 seats.
In Kerala with 140 seats, the LDF (Left Democratic Front) is ahead in 90 seats while the ruling Oommen Chandy led UDF is leading in 47 seats.
In Tamil Nadu, where contest was being held across 234 seats, J Jayalalitha's AIADMK is ahead in 128 seats while the DMK is standing at the second spot as it is leading in 102 seats.
In Union Territory Puducherry, Congress is leading in 13 seats while the NRC is ahead in 12 seats.
West Bengal is witnessing the return of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as her party is leading in 219 seats while the Left-Congress alliance is currently ahead in 68 seats.
The BJP is ahead in four seats while others are leading in three.
