UAE announces visa-on-arrival for Indian visitors, check all details

The United Arab Emirates on Friday announced all Indian ordinary passport holders will be granted visa-on-arrival across all entry points.

The countries new visa-on-arrival policy will also be extended to people holding permanent resident or green cards or valid visas issued by the United States, the United Kingdom, or any nation belonging to the European Union.

People obtaining the facility can get the visa for a period of 14 days. It can be extended for a similar period.

They can also obtain a visa-on-arrival for a period of 60 days that cannot be extended.

The visa could be obtained after paying the prescribed fees in accordance with the applicable norms in the UAE.

India and the UAE share historical ties and have maintained regular cultural exchanges both at official and people-to-people levels. 

The two nations signed a Cultural Agreement in 1975 which aims to strengthen bilateral cultural activities. 

India and the UAE enjoy strong traditional ties which have grown stronger over the years, read a statement issued by the Indian Embassy in the UAE.
