Uddhav Thackeray, son Aaditya meet PM Narendra Modi 

This was Uddhav Thackeray's second meeting with the PM after assuming charge as Maharashtra CM.

PMO Indian shared several images of the meeting and tweeted: "The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Uddhav Thackeray as well as Minister in the Maharashtra Government, Shri @AUThackeray  called on PM @narendramodi OfficeofUT."

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Uddhav Thackeray said: "I had a very good meeting with the Prime Minister."

He said the PM assured him that whatever will be good for Maharashtra will be done.

Uddhav Thackeray said he discussed issues like Citizenship Amendment Act, National Register of Citizens and National Population Register with the PM.

"We discussed CAA, NRC and NPR and I cleared my stand on the issue to the Prime Minister. No one should be afraid of CAA," he said.

Triggering nationwide protests, Indian government passed the new citizenship law late last year.

Thackeray's Shiv Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party were once alliance partners.

However, the relationship between the two sides deteriorated after the Maharashtra Assembly polls last year.

After brief central rule, Uddhav Thackeray took charge as the CM of the state as a part of three-party coalition with two major rivals- the NCP and the Congress.
